Lens selection and frame sizes will be explained. And of course you will continuously take advantage of these new skills by using them on assignments in the studio and on location. PHO-D 21 Digital Imaging Workflow II Understanding digital output options will give you the tools to create an outstanding portfolio and to prepare professional comps, proofs, and final prints for clients. Color management, device profiling, and calibration will be covered. You will learn the importance of color management and the complexities of working with various output media such as coated and non-coated paper, watercolor paper, canvas, and other non-traditional surfaces. In short, this course gives the student a complete understanding of digital printing using the latest technology. PHO-D 22 Advanced Digital Capture This course goes more in depth with digital capture skills and explores complex digital camera controls and features, as well as storage media and file size/formats related to the expected use of the image. Students will learn to produce the best possible digital file by controlling histograms, white balance and color profiles. You will learn the software and hardware requirements for optimal digital capture results for the professional photographer. PHO-D 31 Tools and Techniques of Digital Imaging This course brings you further into the world of digital imaging and into the capabilities of Adobe Photoshop. You will expand your repertoire of techniques for retouching, repairing, and enhancing images. You will expand your understanding of digital image files, including concepts of image resolution, file formats, and color spaces. Your growing knowledge of other areas of photography will come into play as you tackle complex tasks like image compositing and color correction. And you will continue to refine your skills in creating printed output as you move toward completion of your own portfolio. PHO-D 35 Digital Foundations Running a modern imaging business demands computer skills as well as photographic ones. In this class you learn how to effectively select, use, manage and troubleshoot the computer hardware and software that modern photography requires. Learn to work faster, be more organized, and avoid common pitfalls. This class will also introduce the student to professional practices in digital file management, including the appropriate use of optical media, portable drives and network volumes. Good workflow habits are reinforced for managing files, backing up work in progress, and archiving final deliverables. |
